Tax Office Due Diligence and Refundable Credits

In this course, we will cover how to make sure your office can pass a Due Diligence IRS audit, explaining what the responsibilities of tax preparers are when it comes to taking clients at their word. Included is discussion on how asking and documenting the proper questions can keep you and your client out of trouble in addition to accurately calculating amounts on the return. This course will also cover a brief discussion on the rules behind the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit/Additional Child Tax Credit, and the American Opportunity Credit.
