UtPoIT – Retirement, Pensions, and Annuities

This course – one of our “Understanding the Principles of Individual Taxation” series – will cover various types of retirement, pension, and annuity income. This course will cover reporting retirement income reported through Form(s) 1099-R, SSA-1099, RRB-1099-R and RRB-1099, among others. We will also discuss reporting requirements and practices for everything from contributions to and distributions from various forms of retirement plans, early withdrawal penalties, excise taxes, COVID-19 disaster distributions, and more. This class if for the TY2022 season, with some discussion allowed for prior years, as needed.
