UtPoIT – Retirement, Pensions, and Annuities

This course – one of our “Understanding the Principles of Individual Taxation” series – will cover various types of retirement, pension, and annuity income. This course will cover reporting retirement income reported through Form(s) 1099-R, SSA-1099, RRB-1099-R and RRB-1099, among others. We will also discuss reporting requirements and practices for everything from contributions to and distributions from various forms of retirement plans, early withdrawal penalties, excise taxes, and more. This class if for the TY2020 season, with some discussion allowed for prior years, as needed.
