Corporate Transparency Act – B.O.I. Reporting requirements & impact on small business clients

This course will give an overview of the Corporate Transparency Act legislation and the reporting requirements that that will be impacting nearly all small businesses in the United States. We will cover who needs to complete the Business Ownership Information report, How you can educate your small business clients and / or potentially complete this reporting process for them, When reporting must be completed, How to file, Penalties for missing reporting deadlines, Recent court challenges to the law and how it impacts current requirements and deadlines; and we will discuss the pros, cons, and important items to be aware of when deciding if you want to add this compliance reporting on as a service to your small business clients. This course will provide 1 CE credit in the General Tax Law category.
