The PPACA and You: Health Insurance and Taxes

This course will cover the tax implications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or PPACA, more commonly known at Obamacare. Special care will be given to the differing applications of the Individual Mandate and penalty calculation, exemptions from the penalty, and experience with problem scenarios from hosts with many hours “in the field.” This will also cover the unique treatment with these laws now that they are affected by the passage of the recent overhaul tax bill, the TCJA for TY2018 returns onwards.
